Psycho shower death

Clip starts at 1.31 Music : The opening to this clip doesn't have music, but as soon as the shower curtain gets pulled open there is a series of repeated high pitched string notes creating a dramatic and thrilling effect. The music links to the actions because it's unsustained notes match the pattern of the movement in which the 'mysterious' person is doing in order to kill the woman in the shower. When the 'mysterious' person leaves after stabbing the woman, the music slightly changes. We hear lower string instruments playing a slower and less repetitive tune. This helps to create suspense on whether she is going to live or not. The music stops as she reaches out for the shower curtain and falls against the edge of the bath. Sound : At the beginning of the clip there is diegetic sound of the water running from the shower. This makes the murder seem really surprising.Throughout the next few seconds of the clip we can hear various sounds of the dagger slashing against the woman's skin. We hear her screaming whilst she is trying to push the mysterious person away from her. The audience are feeling scared and shocked by whats happening and the sound of the slashes makes it feel more realistic. As the woman begins to pull the shower curtain down we can hear diegetic sound of the curtain falling from the rails. The clip then finishes with the sound of the water from the shower. We are left wondering who was the person that killed her. Narrator : We begin by seeing a medium close up of the woman in the shower washing the water around her body. There is a darker shadow behind the curtain and this makes the audience curious as to what it could be. We then see the curtain being pulled open and a dark figure standing with a dagger, this makes the audience feel surprised and scared due to it being random. There is then a montage showing the woman's reactions and the mysterious person slashing the dagger against her skin. The audience don't actually see her being killed but the montage enables the audience to figure it out. After the montage has ended we see medium shots of the woman slowly dying, she reaches for the shower curtain but pulls it down and falls against the side of the bath dead. There are then various shots of the blood being washed away by the water still falling from the shower and finally a extreme close up of her dead face looking out across the bathroom floor.
